C/2006 W3 (Christensen) - Comet Jupiter & moons Moon Photometric Monitoring - Variables - U And, W And, AM CVn, AM Her, SS Her, U Her
- DY per, GK Per, U Sge, V Sge, ER UMa, SU UMaPhotometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars - Barnards Star, Ross 248 (HH And), Groombridge 34
- Night time session (2.8 hrs). Initially clear with patchy cloud in Southern Sky. Session cut short by deteriorating sky conditions due to haar/mist and cloud. Very good seeing. - Operated in observatory under semi-automated control - Ambient Temperature Initially 14 deg C falling to 10 deg C by end of session - CCD operation -20 degC (at 78% average cooling). - secondary objective of the session was to acquire images of key selected stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis. - secondary objective was to test recent software updates including revised focusing logic, and Zenith FWHM extrapolation. - Notes from 2009-08-07
