Bullet Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars
- Ross 248 (HH And), 61 Cyg, Groombridge 34, EV Lac, Teegardens Star
- Evening session (6.6 hrs duration).
- Session operated under semi-automated control, with remote monitoring from indoors computer.
- Ambient Temperature:  +5 degC minimum
- CCD operation -25 degC (at 73% average cooling).
- main objectives of the session was to monitor selected variable stars & nearby stars and to take gallery images of a range of deep sky objects.  (Poor sky conditions & moonlight largely prevented getting any good images)

NGC 2771 - Spiral Galaxy with Supernova ASASSN-14iu

NGC 2771 with supernova ASASSN-14iu (Ursa Major)
ASASSN-14iu (Type Ia,  z=0.016855) was discovered 2014/10/12.610
by All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN)
at magnitude +15.8
Located 1.3" west and 0.8" north of the center of NGC 2771
(Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image )

The image below was taken 21.3 days after discovery
The supernova position is indicated by white markers.
The image is unable to resolve the Supernova separately to the galaxy centre.
The combined measured brightness of supernova + galaxy center is +13.0
