29 Amphitrite - Minor Planet NGC 1535 - Planetary Nebula NGC 579 - Spiral Galaxy NGC 2261 (Hubble's Variable Nebulae) NGC 497 - Spiral Galaxy 17P/Holmes - Comet M42 - Bright Nebula (Great Nebula) Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg, U Gem (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- U And (mira variable)
- RX And, RZ LMi, U Mon (variables)
- RU Peg, Z And (variables)
- NGC 2782, NGC 4151 (Seyfert Galaxies)
- DX Cnc, 61 Cyg, Gliese 725, Gliese 1245, Groombridge 34, CN Leo (Wolf 359) (Nearby Stars)
- Evening session (7.1hr), operated under automated control for majority of session.
Problem maintaining focus through session, unclear if this was caused by temperature change, seeing deterioration or mirror movement.CCD operation of -20 degC (at 56% average cooling). - main objective of the session was to acquire an image mosaic of comet 17P/Holmes (now grown to larger than the apparent diameter of the moon) -secondary objectives were to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis -opportunity was also taken to acquire gallery images of Caldwell 51 (IC 1613), and certain other comets and deep sky objects. - An 81 point TPoint Mapping Run was conducted at the end of the session
