Bullet Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- S Cyg (mira variable)
- Z And, TT Ari (variables)
- Evening session (4.6hr), operated under automated control for majority of session.
CCD operation of -25 degC (at 74% average cooling).
- main objective of the session was to acquire an image mosaic of comet 17P/Holmes (now grown to larger than the apparent diameter of the moon)
-secondary objectives were to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis
-opportunity was also taken to acquire gallery images of Caldwell 51 (IC 1613), and certain other comets and deep sky objects.

UGC 12846 - Spiral Galaxy with Supernova 2007od

UGC 12846 with Supernova 2007od (Pegasus)
Galaxy UGC 12846 is very faint, but the supernova is very clear.
(Note : stars slightly trailed)

2007od is a Type 2 Supernova 2007/11/02.85 by Crni Vrh Observatory at mag +13.9 (R)
(Rochester Supernova site | Discovery Image | )

Image below (2007-12-05.97) was taken 33 days after discovery.
Measured magnitude of 2007od is +14.4 (C)

Calabash Nebula / Rotten Egg Nebula
Lying close east of NGC 2438 is a small faint nebula
known as the Calabash Nebula, whose position is marked by
a white circle in the image below
(The Calabash Nebula is a name which is sometimes
mistakenly associated with NGC 2438, but they are different objects)
