- SS Cyg (dwarf novae)
- HIP 4429 (suspected variable)
- HIP 4429 (suspected variable)
- U And, W And (Mira variables)
- Z And (variables)
- BL Lac (BL Lac blazer)
- 5.5 hr session cut short by deteriorating sky conditions
- CCD operation of -25 degC (at 69% average cooling). .
- the other main objective was to acquire images for photometric monitoring of the variables stars U And, W And, SS Cyg and a suspected variable HIP 4429.
- opportunity was taken to acquire some exploratory images of U Gem, RZ LMi and DV UMa which may be added to future variable star monitoring.

GK Per - Nova (1901)

GK Per (Perseus)
GK Per is the bright central star which had a nova eruption in 1901.
A relic shell of material ejected during the eruption was
the intended target for this image. Unfortunately the nova shell
is not visible in the image.

RZ LMi - Cataclysmic variable star (ER UMa type)

RZ LMi (Leo Minor)
RZ LMi is an ER UMa type star. These stars typically spend a third
of their time in superoutburst with a supercycle of 20-50 days. Outside of superoutburst
they typically pack in a rapid succession of normal outbursts, showing one every ~ 4 days

RZ LMi is the star with the shortest known supercycle, spending
half its time in superoutburst and has time for only two normal outbursts in between.

Estimated magnitude of RZ LMi in following image is +16.5
which indicates a brightness lying between outbursts)

DV UMa - Cataclysmic variable star (binary eclipsing, UGSU type)

DV UMa (Ursa Major)
DV UMa is an eclipsing binary with deep eclipses of 1.5 mag
or more with an orbital period of 0.08597 day.
The eclipses lasted slightly less than 20 minutes.

The star is of UGSU type and also shows superhumps modulations
with periods that are slightly longer than the orbital period

The following image appears to show DV UMa in eclipse,
since the star is seemingly below the magnitude limit of image (c. +16.5)

ER UMa - Cataclysmic variable star (ER UMa type)

ER UMa (Ursa Major)
ER UMa is the prototype ER UMa type star. These stars typically spend a third
of their time in superoutburst with a supercycle of 20-50 days. Outside of superoutburst
they typically pack in a rapid succession of normal outbursts, showing one every ~ 4 days
