Objects Session Notes
Morning Session C/2012 S1 (ISON) - Comet 2P/Encke - Comet Variable Stars Photometric Monitoring - Variables - None Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars - None
- Evening session (0.5 hrs duration). Windy condition, poor seeing. - Session operated under semi-automated control, with remote monitoring from indoors computer. - Ambient Temperature: 6 degC minimum - CCD operation -25 degC (at 69% average cooling). - sole objectives of the session were to image C/2012 X (LINEAR) which is reported to have undergone an explosive eruption, similar to Comet Holmes in 2007. -
