(1107) Lictoria - Minor Planet Jupiter Variable Stars Photometric Monitoring - Variables - Z And, TT Ari, CI Cyg, S Cyg, SS Cyg, SZ Lyr, DY Per Attempts: RX And failed (too dim), BL Lac failed (too dim), GK Per failed (wind)
Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars - None
- Late Evening session (3.2 hrs duration).
Session terminated when stars became to significantly dim / or loose clarity in CCD Images. Upon investigation it was found that there was dew on the primary mirror (from internal condensation in LX200 tube)- Session operated under semi-automated control, with remote monitoring from indoors computer. - Ambient Temperature: Initially dropping from +2.0 deg C down to -0.5 degC, before rapidly rising to 5 degC as a warm front came through - CCD operation -30 degC (at 81% average cooling). - main objectives of the session were to acquire images of selected project stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis. Opportunity was taken to acquire further images of Lictoria as it moves towards it forthcoming occultation of HIP 20885 on Dec 27th, and Jupiter. -
