- TimeSeries XO-2Astrometric Monitoring - Nearby Stars
- Evening/night session (8.4 hr). - Operated under semi-automated control with remote monitoring - Ambient Temperature: Initially 4.0 degC falling to 0.5 degC minimum - CCD operation -25 degC (at 55% average cooling). - main objective of the session was to record a time-series of XO-2 with the hope of detecting transit of exoplanet XO-2b. Sky conditions were jnear perfect and realtime monitoring confirmed that the expected dip in XO-2 magnitude occurred through the predicted transit window - opportunity taken at beginning of session to acquire images of key selected stars for ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis. - - Notes from 2009-11-08 (XO-2b Exoplanet Transit Notes)
