Z And - variable star 2007 XH16 - Near Earth Asteroid (NEA) / Minor Planet PGC 1772934 and adjacent galaxies Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- U And (mira variables)
- Z And, TT Ari, RZ LMi, RX And, DY Per (variables)
- Evening session (4.6hr). Operated under automated control - CCD operation of -25 degC (at 61% average cooling). - main objectives were to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis. - secondary objective was to record passage of NEA 2007 XH16 (565m diameter) as it passed earth at a distance of ~ 8 LD. - CCDSoft application froze during image linking on the 5th target and the imaging had to be kicked off to secure the planned target list. - Short mapping problems that have hampered the past few sessions were overcome in this session, by manually mapping the first synced star 5 times before commencing an automated short mapping run.

2007 XH16 is a 565m diameter asteroid which passed by the earth on 2007-12-24 at a distance of 8.1 lunar distance (LD). A sequence of images of 2007 XH16 were recorded streaking through a star field in Aries
