17P/Holmes - Comet NGC 1555 (Hind's Variable Nebula) Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- RX And, TT Ari (variables)
- CY Lyr, TZ Lyr (variables)
- HH And, 61 Cyg, Groombridge 34, HIP 3929, Teegarden's Star (Nearby Stars)
- Evening session (2.9hr), operated under automated control for majority of session. CCD operation of -20 degC (at 57% average cooling). - main objective of the session was to acquire an image mosaic of comet 17P/Holmes (now grown to larger than the apparent diameter of the moon) -secondary objectives were to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis -opportunity was also taken to acquire gallery images of Caldwell 51 (IC 1613), and certain other comets and deep sky objects.
