Comet 17P/Holmes Moon Astrometric & Photometric Monitoring
- SS Cyg (dwarf nova)
- BL Lac (Blazar)
- U Her (mira variable)
- RX And, TT Ari (variables)
- Barnard's Star, Teegarden's Star (Nearby Star)
- (unsuccessful attempts at - U Her due to cloud)
- Evening session (2.3hr), thin cloud / poor transparency as per previous evening. Session cut short by developing cloud. Followed by early morning session (1.6 hr) with attempted piggy-backed digital camera imaging. CCD operation of -20 degC (at 67% average cooling). - main objective of the session was to acquire follow up images of the comet 17P/Holmes -secondary objectives were to acquire images of certain selected stars of ongoing photometric and astrometric analysis
