Objects Session Notes
- 4.5 hour session, cold (1 deg C) - operation mainly under automated script control - Near full moon (95% phase) & thin high cloud
(the combination caused significant problem in getting sufficiently flat backgrounds for showing up dimmer objects.- main aim was to obtain magnitude estimates for Delta Cepheid & RT Aur and to attempt to image the double Quasar Q0957+561 (in UMa) and the Bear Paw Galaxy in Lynx. Two Anomalous X-ray pulsers (AXPs), 4U 0142+615 and 1E 2259+586 (both lying in Cassiopeia) were checked for brightening. No indication of activity was observed for either AXP.
