Imaging session was with focal reducer bringing 8" f/10 LX200 to f/7. Images were recorded with ST7 CCD camera & CFW8 Colour Filter Wheel. Seeing was fairly poor with 'murky' atmosphere close to the horizon, hindering attempts at imaging the 'new' Kuiper Belt object 2004 DW.. Seeing gradually deteriorated through the session.
Despite the conditions, images were successfully obtained of a number of brighter galaxies in Coma Berenices and Virgo constellations. 5 minute exposures were taken with ST7 self guided using available (but faint) offset stars. Some images couldn't be used because thin cloud caused guide stars to 'lost' to the autoguider. Colour filters not used due to poor condition.
Negative images of the galaxies imaged are shown below.
