Mars through colour filters

From left to right : Green Filter,  5.00 sec exposure (00:58 h UT, #52147) Yellow Filter , 0.25 sec exposure (01:32 h UT, #52163) Blue Filter , 0.50 sec exposure (01:40 h UT, #52169) Red Filter , 0.50 sec exposure (02:13 h UT, #52204) 8" SCT operating at F/29 through eyepiece projection  Taken on 2003-08-23. Images all unsharp masked (Filters had to be manually inserted into the optical path, involving  reconnecting the CCD camera to telescope and recentering/refocussing  on Mars each time - hence the large time gap between each image.  Seeing quality had also deteriorated significantly by the time the  red filter image was taken)
